Are you looking for an incredible wedding backdrop? Something that really turns heads and makes the photos pop? Well, then Denver wedding venues with mountain views are the ones for you!
For me, a Denver wedding is the best kind of wedding. Sophisticated, vibrant and colorful, the city is known as a foodie paradise and uses locally grown ingredients that will wow your taste buds!
It’s not only a destination of exploration through the tastebuds, but nature too. If you step outside the vibrant city, you’ll find incredible wedding venues near Denver that show off insane mountain views! Beyond Denver’s city backyard, you’ll find it’s surrounded by the Rocky Mountain National parks — great for your out-of-state guests to extend their trip and indulge in hikes, skiing, camping and much more. Breathe the fresh crisp air, relax and enjoy your stay!
Some of these venues are too good for me not to share. As a Denver wedding photographer, I’ve eyed out the best views and backdrops for your special day. These are — hands down — the best Denver wedding venues with mountain views:
1. Lunch Rock (Winter Park Resort)
Lunch Rock at Winter Park Resort is an oh-so-beautiful location to tie the knot. With a literal mountaintop aisle, you’ll be wed overlooking the top peaks of the Rockies around you, giddy with love and also from the height!
This wedding venue in Denver’s mountains will make you feel as if you have already surfaced at heaven’s doorstep. The venue offers an outdoor ceremony as well as an indoor reception area that can accommodate up to 200 guests. The aesthetic of Lunch Rock is rustic and charming, with a warm and cozy feel that’s perfect for a winter wedding. The interior features high ceilings, exposed wood beams, and large windows that offer incredible views of those breathtaking mountains!
2. Black Mountain Lodge (Arapahoe Basin)
Black Mountain Lodge is a stunning mid-mountain restaurant in the Arapahoe Basin sitting in the mountains like a jewel nestled on a crown. This venue is gorgeous because you’re right in the basin, looking up at the peaks and surrounded entirely by the height of these majestic mountains. Wedding parties must ride the chairlift to get to this mid-mountain venue, which makes for a novel entrance and can create wonderful Denver wedding photography!
3. Deer Creek Valley Ranch (Bailey Colorado)
Deer Creek is an award-winning venue that has everything you require in one spot! They can cater for large 180-guest weddings or smaller weddings, and offer a range of packages. They have multiple options for outdoor ceremonies, cocktail hour and reception areas.
You can choose between getting married in the stunning open fields of green, between the fine pine trees, or in front of the special rock outcrop altar. There are actually two venues — the barn or the homestead –- so it really is up to your taste and style and everything can be curated according to the longings of your own heart.
4. Mountain View Ranch (Pine Colorado)
As the name might hint, this mountain wedding venue in Colorado has stunning views of the Rockies making it an absolute treat for the eyes! It’s not only the mountains that make their mark — this venue also shows off gracious pines, tranquil lakes, and sun-kissed fields.
The ranch interiors are just as charming with high ceilings built out of wood, adding warmth, vibrance, and fun. This venue is secluded out in the countryside, yet it’s only an hour’s drive from Denver! There’s also accommodation provided at the lower lakes making for a beautiful stayover for the wedding party.
5. Younger Ranch (Colorado Springs)
Young Ranch is really unique because of its heritage. This fifth-generation ranch is one of the last remaining original ranches in Colorado!
Steeped in stories of the past, this venue has so much meaning behind it, as well as sights. With distant mountains and rolling green hills, you can have your wedding outdoors, playing with the natural beauty around you.
There are so many ways to enjoy this venue, which offers elements such as teepees, red farm barns, festoon-lit trees, old farm trucks, or a vintage car on a dirt road to take photographs — so the list of memorable snapshots of your wedding day is a long one!
6. Bonnie Blues Event Venue (Elizabeth Colorado)
Bonnie Blues is where modern style meets a rustic ranch aesthetic and perfectly intertwines the two, creating one helluva elegant venue. Fitted with a stunning wooden-beamed altar with the beautiful expanse of the ranch behind it, you feel in awe from the moment the ceremony starts!
It’s the kind of wedding venue with mountain views in Colorado where you can raise your glass with class. Bonnie Blues offers all sorts of wedding packages and can cater to any of your needs from large to small ceremonies –- it’s up to you!
7. Mount Princeton Hot Springs (Northrop Colorado)
Mount Princeton Hot Springs is a totally different sort of Colorado wedding venue with mountain views, as it has incredible cliff faces jutting out of the horizon that are larger than life while also surrounded by trees, lush lawns and blue skies.
It has a totally different feel to a ranch-style wedding — with hot pools, springs and rivers all around that guests can enjoy. That’s one way to take your post-wedding relaxation to another level! (You deserve it).
The reception hall is elegant and grand, lined with glass windows allowing the stunning outdoors to seep into the inside. They do provide some pretty great wedding packages! I mean, what’s not to love when you can curate a wedding that includes a dip in a hot pool?
8. Three Peaks Ranch (Westcliff Colorado)
Tucked below the peaks of the majestic mountains, in the middle of rolling fields, stands a wonderfully designed canvas barn that can happily host 100 people.
Three Peaks Ranch is the perfect venue for a collaboration between the outdoors and indoors –- with its festoon-lit deck and barn, and canvas walls that can roll up and down in any type of weather! It’s superb!
The furnishings of the barn are elegant and superbly curated. While the outdoor light paints the vista, hues of blues from the mountains transform slowly into greens and yellows of the land. It all adds up to a mind-blowing color palette for wedding photographs!
9. Ten Peaks (Crested Butte Colorado)
With the towering peak of Crested Butte in the background, Ten Peaks is as spectacular as they come! The ceremony suits an outdoor celebration, with chairs set out facing the gorgeous open vastness of the hills and mountains.
Cocktail hour at the Umbrella Bar follows, which also dishes up the impressive views. Chair lifts are the only way to reach this secluded destination, where the wedding of your dreams can come to life — if a majestic setting is what you’re after. There are other options though! An indoor reception hall offers warmth and comfort while an outdoor marquee allows for a completely different feel to the night. Either way, Ten Peaks can likely help curate exactly what you are looking for!
10. Grand Hyatt (Vail Colorado)
The Grand Hyatt in Vail is an awesome venue for a wedding as it offers a ton of spaces to put to use, from a variety of indoor areas to charming outdoor spots. The hotel is positioned next to the babbling Gore Creek, where there’s space to put up a tent and enjoy a truly special outdoor celebration! Alternatively, you can choose to enjoy the creekside terrace.
The Grand Hyatt can include everything from catering and pre and post-ceremony celebrations to happy honeymoon packages. That’s the great attraction to their venue — they have it all, and you can too!
11. Cheyenne Mountain — A Dolce Resort (Colorado Springs)
This venue is beautiful because of its lush valleys that add sophisticated beauty to the mountains on the horizon. It offers an array of spaces for a wedding celebration: Waterfront Lakeside Beaches, the Grand Rivers Terrace, the Remington Ballroom, or even the Cheyenne Courtyard which can offer the perfect atmosphere for an unforgettable wedding. They’re able to accommodate intimate or large celebrations, from 50-350 guests! So whatever you need, they have your back!
12. Flying Horse Ranch (Larkspur Colorado)
In Douglas County, the Flying Horse Ranch wedding venue showcases beautiful grasslands and a truly impressive cattle and equestrian ranch. The combination of the two creates a striking scene for a Colorado wedding!
Horse-drawn carts can transport your guests to the elegant ballroom or to the natural wood barn. The venue is ideal for a wedding of luxury and absolute elegance. The venue offers a range of packages, such as an all-inclusive deal or a more self-curated option too!
13. Garden Of The Gods Resort And Club (Colorado Springs)
This mountain-facing resort has accommodation options that will flabbergast your guests, as well as awesome activities such as hiking through amazing red rock formations to fishing or relaxing at the spa. Not to mention the amenities they have for hosting a wedding that can host anything from 40-220 guests!
The reflection pool is a real head-turner — and unlike anything found at other venues — with a pool in the middle of the ceremony. The Hill and Terrace is their intimate space that shows off red rock views and stylish interior design. The Three Graces ballroom and terrace is a glass-walled atrium perfect for a larger wedding. Lastly, there is The Kissing Camels which has a perfect view of the red rock formations. This venue can help with the coordination of your special day and anything you may need, doing their bit to make it a fun and enjoyable journey!
