Romantic & Stylish Weddings At Silverthorne Pavilion Colorado

Created by Ali Coşkunfrom the Noun Project

Serene, stylish, and affordable, weddings at Silverthorne Pavilion, Colorado might be the state’s best-kept secret! I am absolutely obsessed with this venue, offering a laid-back vibe with rustic mountain charm, just steps away from spectacular mountains, creeks, and classic Colorado views.

Situated in a ski town, this region is so fun to visit too! Silverthorne Pavilion is owned and managed by the Town of Silverthorne, which means their venue fees are much more affordable than many other wedding venues. This spot is so damn perfect for couples looking for something low-key, intimate, and fun.

If that sounds like you, here’s everything you need to know about planning your Silverthorne Pavilion wedding!

Affordable Colorado Charm: Your Silverthorne Pavilion Wedding Venue

Both the venue and its surroundings are so gorgeous! Positioned right next to the Blue River and with the Gore Range in the distance, it’s easy to fall in love with this space right away — it just feels serene, romantic, and inviting. And, as I mentioned, it’s owned by the local government, which means the rental fees are really reasonable, making it awesome for couples on a budget or those who want to spend more of their wedding budget on experiences or adventures — which I totally get!

There are options for having your ceremony indoors or outdoors, but the riverside option is so awesome for saying your vows out in nature under a natural pine canopy.

Indoors, Silverthorne is just as impressive! It’s over 12,000 square feet in size, with handcrafted chandeliers, exposed trusses, birch hardwood flooring, and a huge stone fireplace, so it’s stylish and modern, but with nods to traditional modern design. Plus, there’s a large patio that you can use for wedding photography or afternoon cocktails for your guests before the reception kicks off.

It absolutely works as a wedding venue year-round, but weddings are particularly vibrant in autumn, as the fall foliage adds such an epic element to your photos!

Rugged Outdoor Beauty: Wedding Photos At Silverthorne Pavilion

As your wedding photographer at Silverthorne Pavilion, we’ll make the most of the venue’s stunning outdoor spaces! Just outside the venue, over the river, there’s a historic wrought iron bridge that was just made for portraits, plus, the riverbed, with its round boulders, pebbles, and bubbling brooks, just adds so much texture and energy to your wedding photos.

The golden light around sunset shines so beautifully here too, so we’ll be sure to pop out to the river to create some photography magic around then! The vibrant greenery of the tall trees along the river, the scenic mountains in the backdrop, and the bright blue Colorado sky will add such a special element to your photos, bringing the damn awesome beauty of nature into your wedding images!

Your wedding photography will have a rustic, stylish aesthetic, accurately telling the story of all of those fun big (and little!) moments.

Silverthorne Pavilion Wedding Packages

Silverthorne caters to weddings and elopements super well. They’re best suited for smaller to medium-sized weddings, as the grand downstairs area can seat up to 190, although there’s also the option of adding on the upstairs seating area as well. You can curate the space however you like, but it’s definitely more of a laid-back, related vibe rather than five-star luxury, so great for anyone who prefers that style.

Venue rates vary based on the time of the year and whether you want to get married on a weekday or weekend, but range from around $1,250 to $5,750. As anyone who’s been researching weddings knows, this is super reasonable! It’s really rare to find a place with such spectacular outdoor views at this price point, so I really encourage you to check it out. And, bonus, if you’re a resident of Summit County, there are special discounts available.

Your fee includes rental of the space and its grounds for up to ten hours, an indoor or outdoor ceremony space, usage and set up of indoor tables and chairs, access to table centerpieces, sound system, access to a wedding suite for getting ready, and an on-site attendant to assist with the logistics.

While you’ll need to organize your vendors, like florists, officiants, and entertainment, on your own, they make it easy to do this with a detailed list of preferred suppliers on their website. I’m also happy to recommend some of my top Denver vendors that may travel to the area.

Popular dates, like spring and summer weekends, tend to book out, so reserve your space as early as you can so you don’t miss out. To get more info on options and packages, reach out to Amy Lydon (alydon@silverthorne.org or 970-262-7396). Love is love, and Silverthorne is absolutely supportive of each and every couple.

Why You & Your Guests Will LOVE The Silverthorne Region

If you haven’t been to Silverthorne yet, definitely check it out! In winter, it’s a popular ski destination, just a short drive from favs like Breckenridge, Keystone, and Copper Mountain. In the warmer months, Dillon Reservoir is a top choice for kayaking, camping, fishing, and hikes.

There are also plenty of restaurants and bars in Silverthorne to enjoy, including Butterhorn Bakery & Cafe and Angry James Brewery. For guests visiting from out of town, there are plenty of local hotels and Airbnbs located super close to your venue. Or, Silverthorne is about an hour away from Denver by car.

If you wanted to plan something special for your attendees, you could consider organizing a private day trip to Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods, a microbrewery tasting session, or a group hike or picnic — and just say the word and I’ll be there to capture beautiful candid shots of everyone there altogether!
